For Sicily, Odysseus lands on an island and took a couple of his men, and very strong wine given to him by other kings from other lands, and went to explore and search for food when they stumbled upon a cave. Outside the cave there were rams and goats and when they walked into the cave there was milk, cheese, and bread scattered all over. The ate and drank until they heard someone coming back to the cave. They hid in a corner and watching as a giant Cyclops came in with his rams and sheep, and closed the cave door. The cyclops lit a huge fire not noticing Odysseus and his men, but after a while he did. he laughed and kept them there for nights eating a couple men every night. Eventually when there was only a couple men left, Odysseus remember the wine. For nights he forged a hot wooden stake and the last night left a bowl of wine out and told the giant it was an offering. The giant drank it with pleasure and asked Odysseus what his name was, and with that Odysseus cleverly said "Nobody, My name is Nobody." He then dunked the stake into the fire and threw it in the giant's one eye. The giant screamed and when his brothers heard they asked who was hurting him, and he screamed, "Nobody! Nobody is hurting me! My brothers help!" With that they left, thinking he was fine. the next morning the giant lifted the heavy door to let his sheep out, and Odysseus and his men rode under the rams and sheep for freedom at last. As they got to the ships the giant realized what they did, and Odysseus called out, "If anyone asked who blinded you, say it was The Great Odysseus!"

Dewey does a good job of making the point that young teachers are leaving the profession early and our education is suffering because of this. She gets her point across using evidence and facts. Too many young teachers are leaving their jobs and we as taxpayers are paying for this loss. Also, without consistent education, kids might not get the teaching they deserve and might end up in jail later on in life. Dewey makes it clear that this isn’t a good situation and something must be done about it.

Read the excerpt from "Healthy Eating." She can also scan food to determine whether she's met her daily need. "So after I have breakfast and lunch, and if I've had too many carbs, by dinner I know I have to cut back," she said. And that kind of tailoring is key, nutritionists say. "People want me to just tell them what to eat, give them a meal plan. But they'll only follow it for two weeks," [dietician] Castro-Romero said. "So I get them to focus on the foods they're eating now and improve. One group might be soda drinkers. So we work to decrease rather than eliminate. "It's really trying to keep it simple and look at small changes. I like to say small changes produce big results." Based on this excerpt, the dietician wants people to .
This question is missing the answer choices. I was able to find them online. They are the following:
A. follow a strict meal plan
B. eliminate all unhealthy foods
C. eat only low-carb foods in the morning
D. make small adjustments to their diets
Answer:
Based on the excerpt, the dietician wants people to:
D. make small adjustments to their diets.
Explanation:
In the passage, dietician Castro-Romero explains that following a set plan is not a good idea. People expect dieticians to give them a meal plan, but then they only follow it for a couple of weeks. According to Castro-Romero, the best strategy is to make small adjustments. You do not have to cut carbs, for instance. But, if you eat too much of it for breakfast and lunch, you can avoid it when having dinner. Such adjustments are more efficient and "produce big results."
